Colours for hazel eyes
This is your palette
In our quiz hazel eyes pull clearly towards warm, so readers with hazel eyes land in a Spring or an Autumn palette in almost every combination – most often a Soft Autumn or a Light Spring. Your hair and skin decide which: how light or deep you are, and how soft or clear.
What it says about your colouring
On its own, it leans warm.
It leaves clear or soft to the rest of your colouring.

Tips
- Hazel changes with what you wear next to it. Olive, moss and khaki bring out the green; copper, rust and warm brown bring out the gold; plum and aubergine make the green flecks stand out by contrast.
- Choose the warm version of a colour: olive rather than emerald, terracotta rather than fire-engine red, camel rather than cool grey. Most hazel-eyed readers land on warm palettes, and the cool versions tend to flatten the gold in the eyes.
- Near the face, warm neutrals do the most work: cream, camel, warm taupe and chocolate frame hazel eyes better than stark black and white, and gold jewellery repeats the gold in them.
- Your hair and skin set the depth. With light hair and skin, try light warm shades – peach, warm aqua, light coral; with dark hair, the deeper ones – rust, teal, deep olive. The quiz reads both.
How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
