Colours for brown eyes
This is your palette
Brown is the most common eye colour in the world, and the one people most often take to mean “warm”. It does lean that way, but it is one reading out of three: your hair and your skin decide the rest, which is why brown-eyed people end up in very different palettes.
What it says about your colouring
On its own, it leans warm.
It leaves clear or soft to the rest of your colouring.
The palettes it leads to most often

Tips
- Hold a colour under your face in daylight and look at your eyes, not the fabric: a colour that suits you makes the brown look clearer and the whites brighter.
- Warm browns, camel and olive repeat the colour of your eyes and make it look deeper; a contrast such as teal or cobalt makes your eyes look lighter and brighter.
- Very dark brown eyes with dark hair can carry more contrast than lighter brown eyes with fair hair. If black and white look sharp on you rather than harsh, look at the Winter palettes too.
- Eye colour is a starting point, not a verdict. Check the veins on your wrist and the colour of your hair in daylight before you settle on a palette.
How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
