Colours for blue eyes
This is your palette
In our quiz blue eyes are one of the clearer pulls towards cool, and they nudge colour towards clear rather than greyed. With the rest of your answers, blue-eyed readers most often land in True Winter, Soft Summer or Light Summer. But your eyes are only one of your answers: warm hair and skin can still carry you to a Spring or an Autumn palette, and when it is close, the result says so and lets you compare two rows of colour at the mirror.
What it says about your colouring

Tips
- Orange and copper sit opposite blue on the colour wheel, so even a touch of them makes blue eyes look bluer. If your palette is cool, keep that touch small and away from the face – a bag, a belt – and wear the blue near the face instead.
- A blue close to your eyes – denim, cornflower, a soft steel blue – echoes them. Navy instead of black near the face does the same job more quietly.
- Look at your eyes in daylight. Grey-blue and icy blue point to the Summer palettes and soft colours; a vivid, deep blue with a dark rim points to Winter and clearer colours; blue with a warm golden ring near the pupil is the case where a Spring palette can be yours. Check it at the mirror.
- Pure black can overpower light blue eyes; charcoal, navy or a cool taupe frame them without swallowing them. If your hair is dark and the contrast is high, black works – that is the Winter case.
How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
