Bright Winter
This is your palette
Cool-neutral, mid to deep, and very clear. High contrast is correct here, and pure white and true black are genuinely yours.
Also called Clear Winter.
If this is your palette
Your colouring is blue-based, mid in value and clear in chroma. Those three properties are the whole of it – every rule below follows from them.
Shades that share all three sit quietly beside your face. Shades that miss one are usually still wearable at a distance from the face; shades that miss two are the ones that make people ask whether you are tired.

Your white and your dark
- Best whiteOptic WhiteBest white for you, and one of very few seasons that can say so.
- Best darkTrue BlackYour best dark neutral – and here that really is black.
Colours to keep away from your face
Harder next to your face – dusty, greyed or earthy against clear cool colouring. Lower down, or as a small accent, they can still work.
- Dusty Rose BeigeMuddied pink puts a film over a face built on clarity.
- Muted SageGreyed warm green; nothing in you answers it.
- Camel BeigeGolden neutral. Wear Cool Grey.
- Salmon PeachWarm and soft – it differs from your colouring on two counts.
- Dusty Lavender GreyYour violet is True Violet; this is its ghost.
- Stone TaupeWarm mid grey is the one neutral that flattens you.
Make-up and hair
Everything you put near your face follows the same three rules: keep it blue, keep it mid, keep it clear.
- BaseCool or neutral bases. Warm, yellow-based foundation turns sallow within an hour on blue-based skin.
- EyesCharcoal, navy and cool plum. You can carry a defined line where softer colouring cannot.
- BrowsMatch your hair and define the shape without drawing a hard line.
- LashesA defined lash suits you. Black works if your colouring is deep, brown if it is not.
- LipsTrue red, berry and cool pink.
- NailsA single saturated shade from your signature range, or a clean sheer.
- HairStay cool or neutral. Warm gold highlights pull against blue-based skin.
- EveningDeepen and saturate. Evening is where your palette can go to its fullest strength.
Metals and stones
Metals
Yellow gold reads brassy next to blue-based skin. Rose gold is the one warm metal that still works.
Stones
Cloudy or heavily included stones look dull beside clear colouring – the stone should have some light in it.

How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
