What colours go with navy
This is your palette
Navy is the dark that almost every palette carries – the one to reach for when black is too hard against the face. What changes from palette to palette is which navy: warmer or cooler, lighter or deeper, cleaner or greyer. Below is each palette’s nearest version of navy and the colours it is worn with.

Tips
- Navy and white is the safest pair in any wardrobe – but take your palette’s white, not optic white: cream with a warm palette, a soft cool white with a cool one.
- Navy carries a bright colour well: with a coral, a raspberry or an emerald from your own palette, it lets that colour be the statement.
- For a quiet look, put navy next to grey, camel or stone – whichever of them your palette carries – and keep one accent near the face.
- Navy and black together work when the two are clearly different – a navy jacket over black trousers – and look like a mistake when they almost match.
How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
