What colours go with pink
This is your palette
A soft, slightly dusty pink is a cool colour. In our palettes it belongs to the Summers, to True Winter and Bright Winter and – dusty and close to plum – to Soft Autumn. For True Spring and Bright Spring it is harder near the face: a cool pink fights their warmth, and a melon or a watermelon pink does better. Deep Winter takes its pink deeper, as magenta or cranberry. Below, each palette’s pink and what to wear with it.

Tips
- Pink and grey are the easy pair: grey calms pink, and pink brings grey to life. Light grey keeps the look soft; charcoal gives it an edge.
- Pink with blue is the natural pairing for the cool palettes: powder blue or periwinkle with a Summer pink, cobalt or royal blue with a Winter one.
- Pink with white looks fresh. Pink with black looks graphic, and that is a Winter pairing; the Summers get the same line, softer, with charcoal or navy.
- Pink and green work when both are soft: a dusty pink with sage or a soft olive. Pink and brown is the warm way, for Soft Autumn – a plum rose with cocoa or terracotta.
- If a cool pink makes your skin look sallow or grey, try a warmer one in the same place – peach, melon or watermelon pink, the pinks the Springs wear.
- Pink trousers or a pink skirt are the easy way in if pink is harder near your face: keep a colour from your palette up top and let the pink sit lower down.
How to find your palette
Colour analysis reads three things in your colouring: warm or cool, light or deep, clear or soft. The quiz asks about your eyes, hair and skin, looked at in a mirror by a window in daylight. It never photographs or scans your face, and the palette it finds is yours to keep.
